Uno most surfers take their bodies for granted. We expect our bodies to perform on demand, to stay surf fit, to stay surf strong and perhaps even enjoy a surfing workout, without even considering just how amazing our surfing bodies are. This week we look at an incredible video that shows the real meaning of surfing – Having fun and sharing the experience with others – while reminding us just how lucky we are to have an amazing surfing body to enjoy.
Most of us take for granted that we have all our limbs and forget the incredible innate abilities of our brains and bodies. We also often forget that the root of surfing is sharing waves and being in mother nature with friends. I believe we can all make a conscious choice to respect each other in the water, have fun and use surfing and surfing workouts to improve our performance, our lives and our health.
In the video below you will view Bethany Hamilton and Nick Vujicic, two amazing human beings who are inspiring others around the world to get on and enjoy their lives. While surfing workouts will help you surf better, I encourage you to take time out this week to relax and find the special moments that surfing is all about.
